Once you’re a member of Slimming World, you can attend any group, and you’ll always be warmly welcomed by another group of friends.
Do you have to go to Slimming World every week?
We ask you to come to group as often as you can (and at least once every month for a top-up of support and to inspire your friends in group to achieve their dream target too). We’ll ask you to weigh in each time you attend to keep an eye on that all-important target.
Can you just turn up to Slimming World?
So I thought I’d share some information about what actually goes on, so you’d know what to expect. You can find out where your local class meets by checking the Slimming World website (UK site/Irish Site). You don’t need an appointment, or to contact them ahead of time. Just turn up and say you want to join.
Why can I not lose weight on slimming world?

You must tell your consultant in advance though, or you will be charged for the missed week. And yes, it is 6 holidays/missed weeks allowed per year.
How long does a Slimming World meeting last?
The Slimming World group meeting generally lasts an hour and a half but I have heard that some meetings can last up to 2 hours. If you can’t stay you can just go to get weighed and then leave which a lot of people do. I would recommend staying for the group meeting as that is what encourages you to keep going.
What do you do at Slimming World meetings?
You’ll walk in, take a seat and just be a part of the meeting. Then your consultant will come over to speak with you privately about what Slimming World is all about and what you want to get from your time there.
Can I rejoin Slimming World Online?
If you’ve previously been a Slimming World Online member and you would like to reactivate your membership, you can do this by logging on via the main website. After logging in, click on the ‘activate my membership’ option and you’ll be taken straight to the online shop.
